You know what the funning thing is, I have NEVER been about to get my old EPO to work when doing the drive mapping and coping the CD's to the hard drive. Well after I got tires of messing with the DVD for now, I reinstalled the old EPC and it mapped everything just fine and works with the files copied to the disk. Still want to get the DVD one going though.

Don,

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Only if you need access to European part numbers or
datacards, or other markets (Japan, South Africa, etc). Or info on
Mogs, trucks, busses, etc. There are a handful of updates &
corrections even on some of the older cars but not enough to really
justify the hassle of upgrading the EPC. The WW version is a very
different program that requires a license key, and installation of MB
Program Manager (mostly for the license manager). The USA-only EPC is
a much simpler installation (Aug-2002 is the newest version I know of
commonly available for the USA setup.)

If your latest car is a '90, would ther be any reason (rational) to
covet the newer EPC?
