Well easier to remove. You can also get the powder coat off. Its just a slightly tougher coat of paint after all. You would still need to repolish and rechrome the trim in either case, especially if you roughed it up and destroyed the polish to make either the paint or powder coat stick better.

Sometimes I wonder if powder coat is even as good as paint. I've had a lot of items with rust bubbling up under powder coat seemingly faster then under paint. Mostly those wonderful HF items. Yeah I know it's all in the preparation. I wonder if they make a rustolium undercoat? :-)

Another thing to consider, pray paint can also be removed to bring
back the chrome if need be.
