Yes, I've used the masking tape trick many times, but, like I said, "No room to get my fingers down in there" for securing the screw on the OUT that worries me.

My dad had one of those too, it was great. My dumbass thieving cousin stole all his tools though, so it is gone wherever, forever.

In the absence of the tool, a bit of masking tape wrapped around the screw head and the screwdriver shaft will work.
