CAUTION:

There is a capacitor that can hold a serious charge even when the unit is
disconnected. Shorting across the terminals with an adequate resistor is
highly recommended before touching any of the wiring. I replaced a
magnetometer on a microwave unit once, and made such a resistor by
assembling several smaller resistors in parallel.

Subject: Re: [MBZ] Totally OT: Dead microwave

Our microwave appears to be readily accessible through standard phillips
head sheet metal screws. Maybe this weekend I will poke around inside.
