No amount of more gentle persuasion got the aluminum pistons out of my generator's rusted Hercules engine. It was pounding them out from the bottom that got 'em moving. (Both the pistons and the block are still in use.) The Kroil (and PB) were instrumental, I'm sure they'd have come out in pieces were it not for that, but there was still no substitute for the BFH.
