The 5.0 mustangs were that way as well.
But not so my 5.0 Camaro. It's got a tall fifth gear that will get it to 143, past redline in fourth. But it will not get to redline in fifth, of course. I raced my brother's 5.0 same-year Mustang, and whupped him. Twice. -- Jim
