I doubt it did anything real bad to the engine but its not a good thing for sure. The ONLY way for the impeller blades to be worn off like he is saying is for something to get sucked in. Only takes a second too. I am 99.9% sure what I said happened is what happened. Its easy to do if you are not paying attention when putting the air cleaner back on. In any case, the shop should be picking up the tab for a new turbo and install.

Didn't he say right from the start that the new engine didn't have as much power
as the old one? I shudder to think of all those little pieces of metal going
through the valves and cylinders. On second though I don't think I would buy
this car. :-)
