It is going to go over the Outer Banks or perhaps a bit inland, then skip up the coast to Long Island or so for real landfall. In this one Florida was spared as was my neck of the woods -- it is quite a bit offshore. It is likely to be a Category 4 storm by tomorrow or Sat and will start to dissipate rapidly once over land, but it will come ashore quite strong still even after going over the cooler water.
