I was on all the lists early on when I got my first MB (380SL). I learned so
much! After awhile the redundancy of the questions killed my enthusiasm and I
signed off everything in the early aughts.

Kicking people off the Easley-Ritter list was addressed off-handedly by Stu a
few weeks back (I forget which thread)… to paraphrase… it was a common
occurrence when both list founders were involved… it hardly ever happens
anymore. I'm sure there are some (you know who you are) who will never be
welcomed back… in my opinion, a very high-school attitude in an adult world,
especially since forum discussions are now ubiquitous and basic ground rules
are more universally acknowledged.

Coming back to these MB lists after a 7-8 year absence, I find the chatter on
both to be synonymous. If I didn't color code my incoming mail I'd be hard
pressed to guess which thread was from which list. There does appear to be more
off-topic discussion on both these days - an observation, not a judgement. The
evolved format is what it is, it obviously works for the active participants
and doesn't for people like Walt. I can see both sides of the argument. I would
never say one opinion is more valid than another.
