There are others who probably remember things in more detail, but Richarde's lists predate the Ritter list, IIRC.
More specifically, the "Banned" list was a direct result of people getting unsubbed from the Ritter list for minor infractions, such as comparing Detroit iron to MBs. I myself got banned because I directly challenged the comments of a highly revered list member, George Murphy. Despite Stu challenging George's sometimes flawed and/or incorrect advice himself in private, when I did it in forum I got pilloried. Ritter had Richard Easley, the "List Mom", pull my subscription. I have never looked back. There is a very dark side to the Ritter list, which is how things are kept in check. Step over the line for a minor infraction and you're gone In a heartbeat, no question. Ironically, I have something on the order of 6-7 alias accounts there, but I rarely ever look at them. Once in a while I will troll to see what's up, but quite honestly, it's the same subject matter, OT or otherwise, month after month.
