Looks to me like the bulk of the C2H2 had 'left the building', and only what was left inside the panels and behind the dash, etc., is what went off. Probably the motor in the door is what sparked it off. He's lucky that opening the first door didn't trigger it at the courtesy light switch, as that would have been the _big_ boom.
