We still have not figured out why the base price is twice of what it is
in the US. Then you whack the commie inspired luxury car tax on em and
the pockets need to be a bit deeper.
It's not because the cars are RH drive because the recommend retail
price in the UK is much the same as the US.
Your import duties must be incredible. Chain saws are silly expensive too.
A fellow can buy one retail in USA, ship it to AU, pay the self importing duty,
and still be about 2/3 of what the poor bypassed Stihl dealer over there would
have paid wholesale.
