Actually, this has more to do with the fact that prices for both rubber and carbon black have been at record highs lately. Rubber because of severe weather in Asia in 2010, and carbon black because of industry consolidation (one less supplier in the market has raised prices). And high oil prices haven't helped either for the latter.
