Fleetguard used to be good. I'd go with Wix or Fleetguard unless you
want to buy 3 and cut them apart to see who is good/bad.
Fleetguard I believe is still owned by Cummins. In 1979 Fleeguard
were made by Walker Deluxe (Yep the muffler people), which was then
owned by Tenneco.
It's been my experience that napa store brand filters exceed the
cost of Wix by a significant amount. (in some cases the napa filter
is 2.5x the price of the Wix!)
I've got an application that Rusty isn't able to help me with; my
choices are NAPA (ouch), Wix, and Fleetguard.
FWIW, it's a Mitsibishi S4Q2 engine; 33hp @1800rpm. Any thoughts?

In a rush I have gotten filters at CarQuest. The one at Airport Blvd
in Morrisville stocks common 123 and 126 parts, has a decent selection
in Raleigh (2-3 hours wait), and anything from Worldpac Greensboro
comes within 24 hours. They are 25-50%+ more expensive than Rusty and
a lot more out of the way, but they are great in a pinch.
The local Autozones no longer stock anything I want, including
oils/liquids/etc. They also have a five day shipping window and
demand full retail prepayment for orders. I have no idea how they
make money.
One Advance in Durham (Hillsborough Rd) carries limited quantities of
123 and 126 stuff. I've never seen any of the other Advances have
anything MB specific, but I have not looked for filters specifically.
I have had poor success with our local NAPA affiliates, for some
reason. I can't really explain that; my father is a big fan of NAPA,
so maybe it's just me, or the area.
On the other hand if you are in Durham and need a 126 part, give me a
call first because it is very possible I have one in my shed. :)
