is mated to a MB transmission.
This wasn't just a "Hey, let's steal a MB and copy it" type of thing,
from what I read (memory serving) Mercedes invested some money and had
a partnership with Ssang Yong to try and get their products into Korea
under a "Korean" name plate.
Then, Daewoo started going down, couldn't buy Ssang Yong, got bought
by GM, I traded my Lanos on a Suzuki Aerio SX and now the Chevy Aveo
is what the Lanos would have been today.
Glad I have three Mitsu's in my driveway right now. *laughs*

Look at the link marked "Chairman," then go to their website and take a
look. They licensed the 124 from MB, then built the 124s to look like 80s
S-class MBs ....
The Engrish is horrible, esp. with the overuse of "silky" everywhere, but I
can't believe my eyes.
Has anyone heard of this or seen this before?
