Two possibilities, new old stock that's already rotted OR poor quality afermarket merchandise. I have heard from several mechanics that aftermarket motor mounts are VERY unreliable. My own experience is that aftermarket rubber parts (motor mounts, nitrogen spheres, window and door seals, serp belt tensioner shock absorbers, etc) have NOT been reliable.
