Are you guys talking about the INTERIOR rear view mirror? My '95 E300D (W124) has that yellow foamy stuff around the edge of the interior mirror glass. I figured the glass must have fell out sometime. And a PO reglued it with propylene glue or whatever that expanding yellow persistent glue is called. This car came from Texas. Maybe the summer heat did it?
