Lately this poor 500MHz G3 beast, vintage 2000, was
getting so boggy that you pretty much could not
surf _any_ site, with 10-4 Firefox, Safari, or Opera.
I finally disabled Java and Javascript, figuring that
the loss of ability to use _some_ sites wasn't much of
a loss when I could no longer use _any_ sites.
Magic. It's back to what it once was, and many sites
are perfectly usable again.

Cool! Way to go. I am happy I can still get eudora to run on 10.6.
Next step will be to run a VM with XP as the way to keep Eudora
going. I am told there is no backwards compatibility for 10.7 or
10.8.
I don't think there is a linux version of eudora. Is there? *nix on
a VM would be preferable to xp.
