I only drive through Peoria on occasion, except in 95 I did some research
there. I think I was in Peoria for 3 days and it was so cold..... I think
i wore coveralls in the escort to keep warm, and it normally was
comfortable in winter. I know one day it warmed up to 0 and the sun was
out, so I went to a parts store and rigged up a manual pushbutton & relay
for the glow plugs. I think that trip was the only time I had trouble
starting the escort.
Beres at Pekin was the closest dealer to where I grew up. Got my first
(and only) factory crate shortblocks (OM621) there.
