Curt,

I use Republic and have two of the MotoX and one Motorola Defy XT. I really
like the MotoX, coming from an iPhone as first smart phone the change to
Android requires some relearning. But it isn't too bad. First Android phone
was one with Boost Mobile, Kyocera Hydro. So far the only thing I got used
to on the other two Androids that isn't available now is removable battery
and SD card slot. The MotoX is more like the iPhone in that regard. It's
"sealed" and not supposed to be opened by the consumer for any reason.
However, the question was cost, and in my opinion the X was worth the extra
money. Your own mileage may vary.
