This floor has two spots 1/3 room width from one wall that are about 1"
higher than the low spots.

The floor is 18 ft. long --- I've identified the high spots, it's getting
the low ones filled smoothly up to the high ones that's the problem.

Yes, the "self leveling underlayment is for pouring a new cap from 1/16" to
2" thick.
