BUT it bu**ered it up for others.
I can no longer tell who sent the message without opening it because
they all say Mercedes Discussion List rather than the name of the
contributor.
So, much more difficult to go back to old posts to check something that
I remembered like a good tip from Jim C.

I've had embarqmail (now Centurylink) for years and have never had
this kind of problem with any other email list.
Anyway, the problem with Mercedes List seems to be fixed thanks to Dan
and Kleb.
