My family has always had a designated "cat gun" with which to dispatch cats.
It'd get used when we had a nuisence cat, like the stray that wouldn't come in and live
inside but liked to poop on my Dad's car or when a cat is sick and dying and needs
putting out of its misery. Very humane thing the cat gun. I used it once on a dog that
got hit by a car in front of our house, thing was in such terrible shape I don't know
what was keeping it alive but I couldn't bear to see it like that.
I was amazed when I went to college and somehow got talking about the cat gun and a girl I went to school with was screaming at me and calling me all sorts of terrible things for shooting cats, she thought they should be "put to sleep". I told her thats what I was doing. Some people's kids... -Curt Date: Wed, 18 Jan 2006 13:13:37 -0600

Not your fault - I started this one with my "CO2 powered pellet gun"
comment, which I still think is funny. It's just a shame that "some" reacted
so strongly to a joke.

At least I didn't start this one with a "poison cat food" comment....

On a more serious cat note - they are so prevalent around here that the city puts out baited traps all the time and I don't see anyone lining up at the animal shelter to adopt cats. Wonder what happens to THOSE cats?????? Maybe the member who reacted so strongly would like a few hundred shipped to his
or her house?

Thanks,
