This corroborates what I have heard for years - the oriental way is to
copy and make exact copies for less cost.  Somehow that seems a bit
over simplified, but perhaps not?

Over simplification generally forms generalizations which form
discrimination - which might be good, but generally seems frowned upon
in many quarters of the marketplace these days.  We are preached at
that it is wrong to discriminate but discrimination is what we are
talking about - discrimination *for* quality, discrimination *against*
junque, and then this goes into employment, etc.  The same
discrimination can be had for all the wrong discrimination frowned
upon today, which seems sad.  I can name many that become instant
banned topics.
