My bet would be it would be registered as it was sold originally, Dodge,
Freightliner or Mercedes; but Mercedes isn't selling them in the US,
right?

The do-dads are just that, external emblems. You don't think all those
boy-racers that put a big R in their Civic's back window get to register
them as Acura's, do you?  ;-)
