PS - when filling with diesel, how much foaming is expected/can I expectwildly differing amounts of fuel to go in before shutoff? Should I be having them top it off for more consistent fills?
It's highly variable, in my experience. Seems to be somewhat correlated to temperature. Warmer tends to have more foam, but it's by no means definitive. Your fill will be anywhere from zero to a couple of gallons short, depending. Longer averages (multi-tank) will give you more accurate results. -- Jim
