brass fixtures being the indoor, plated ones.

Interestingly, in years past professional plumbers didn't like Kohler faucets, 
claiming they were difficult to work with and broke easily.  It wasn't unusual 
to see plumbingware in a new house that was Kohler and the fixtures being 
another manufacturer's.
