Now that I've figured out my transmission, I'm going to have my car painted, keep that in mind. I really like my satellite radio (sirus). I want to install the antenna permanently {Prior to the paint job). Anyone BTDT? On my ML320 I have the Sirius antenna mounted on the air intake grill between the wipers. Easy entry for wires into the cockpit. I hard wired the power supply to the cigarette lighter circuit which gets rid of one more dangling wire in there. Seems the angle of the windshield does not interfere with the signal. Note: There is voltage reduction in the Sirius plug so you have to solder some wires onto that. 12 vdc would probably fry the receiver.
