Folks,

I seem to have developed the dreaded heater/climate control problem. The german woman in the dash will almost NEVER let the heat come on .....maybe once every hour or two at the most. I seem to remember that i need to remove the control and solder up a bunch of joints, correct? Can someone direct me to some of the webpages/archieves that cover the task?

thanks,

xx rick

If the problem is the system not switching on, try clicking to Defrost, then back to whatever mode you want to be in. This overrides the startup delay. My car sometimes needs this after warm starts. On cold starts the automatic delay functions properly.
