The problem hasn't manifested its self again, but I'm going to do a full fuel filter replacement and fix that fuel heater theromostat and run the fuel lines properly again --- Thwe oil has about 4000 miles now, so while I'm at it, I'll change that as well. I thought an analysis now would point out any abnormal engine wear - but I think I'll wait and measure soot level in the new oil later instead.
