If the fuse does not blow it only means that the excess load is removed.

When the overload is solved and the fuse stays intact as the GP system is 
operated, then you can evaluate the relay.

The behavior of the dash light gives clues as to the health of the system.

This is similar to a previous question - based on the below it sounds
like I can test the relay by removing the plug going to the GPs and
seeing if another fuse blows, right?
