I know -- not another oil thread. I admit I don't normally read them myself, so I probably have missed discussion of this. So I do apologize if this is old news, but... I was at Wal Mart yesterday looking for Mobil 1 Truck and SUV and I noticed that it is now 5W-30 weight and no longer diesel rated.
Looking around, they had nothing else they had in stock as far as Mobil 1 seemed suitable. I am overdue for an oil change, so I picked up 2 gallons of Chevron Delo -- inexpensive, and good oil (though not Mobil 1). It's a bit frustrating that they keep reformulating and relabeling these oils. Hopefully they are at least improving them in the process. So, for reference next time, what is the recommended M1 oil for an MB diesel? Do I need to hunt down some Devlac 1? Allan -- 1966 230 1983 300D
