Unfortunately the same cancer her been in HI for 30 years or so, and is
spreading over all the country. Most stat univ towns have gone around
the bowl and down the hole, then they infect the state. The lower
income the state, the less infected they are. People who love to spend
OPM need OPM to thrive.

Well, I'm just across the river in Vancouver (The 'couve). The state
government of OR and the city of Portland are rather to the left of
center. There also are some totalitarian tendencies. If you don't
agree with their policies, they would like to squash you. And don't
get in the way of their income from red light cameras!
My brother has an ME degree from The Cooper Union and a master's in
industrial engineering from NYU, but a friend told me he was not
really an engineer because he was not a licensed PE. Really!
There's a lot of craziness out there WRT credentials and licensing.
