I am having an issue with my 98 F150. It started out with the dash indicator
for the right side turn signals not lighting up and the tick tick being too
fast. I initially thought a bulb had gone bad. But, it was sort of
intermittent. It would be fine at some times and not at others. I thought
the filament must be touching sometimes and being bounced apart at others.
One day when it acted up I got out and looked to see if it was front or
back. The back bulb was flashing away faster than normal. The front was not
flashing so I thought I had my culprit. I changed the front right bulb and
it seemed to be OK. Turned out not to be so then I started thinking a bad
ground on that corner. That was only Tuesday so I have not had a chance to
look again - especially since we got another dose of winter - fresh snow and
quite a bit of it. This morning I noticed that the right signal does not
seem to work properly if I lift the turn signal stalk the whole way. If I
just lift it a bit like one would do to change lanes etc then it seems to
work fine.

Question is, can it be a ground issue or may I have something going wrong
with the switch itself. I hope not as that will be much messier and more
expensive to fix.

Any experts out ther?
