Got the parts in today, came home and got into my grubbies and had at it.
In 20 minutes I had the crossover pipe off and all of the bits and bobs of the
remains of the breather tubes, even the holes they plugged (but failed to clean
before using the RTV) off the car. No need to pull the intake as I can get to
everything I need with the crossover out of the way. RTV has been scraped off
the valve cover from around the breather inlet tube opening where they had
glopped it all up.
I’m taking a cool off break then I’ll go back out and clean out all of the
holes with solvent and Q-tips to get any remaining goop out. Then the
reassembly begins.
All in all this job might take me a grand total of 45 minutes to do. Nice.
