Yeah that is a good deal. Do they crush them or what? I was reading
about some people stripping them down, getting everything useful off the
car and just dropping off the hulk with the engine, the dealer didn't
seem to care. (did someone on the list post that?) THAT would be a
good deal!

My boss just did his buyback last week on the Jetta TDI he had. He took the
money and bought a new Subaru. He said that the VW dealer personnel didn’t
seem that interested in trying to get him to buy another VW, that they just did
sort of a cursory, “Hey, you might want to consider a new xxxx” and then walked
away when he didn’t show any interest.
Sucks to be them, I guess.

the little TDI is zippy! It does use Pee, AKA Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
which the 2014 does not.
