The best that I can explain it is that the half-way position is an

Here's another one while we're on the subject: My 190D Euro has the
original Becker with German writing and abbreviations on the face. It
only plays German Music (Just Kidding).
There is a symbol on a button on the lower right of the face that I
believe has something to do with the antenna or tuning in some way.
Has anyone seen this switch? It is marked with what appears to be an
antenna with radio waves emanating from its tip.
My antenna is intermittent in extending/retracting, I think the
circuit board is at fault as it had some corrosion on it. So I can't
tell what effect this switch has. It also has a 2 position dash
mounted switch that operates the antenna to both extremes only. The
radio also has little toothed rubber belts for setting tone and fine
tuning that are operated by sliding your thumb to the left and right..
The "antenna" symbols with the concentric circles represent 3 different
degrees of sensitivity of the auto tuning. I believe you have the same
(or similar) radio to the one in my 190D 2.0 Euro 5 speed. It has a
Becker Europa 731 T. I expect the antenna problem may relate to
intermittent contacts in the 3 position switch. I've had to replaced 2
or 3 antenna switches in my 201s.
