Explain please. If they were unhooked all the time then you would not be able to shut the engine off with the key. How, where, when were they unhooked and what were the results of that before any other changes.

What I want to know is did Clay change the brown lines around?

I can't really see enough exhaust getting through that small hole in the EGR to 
cause hard starting but then the proof seems to be there. Also gives another 
reason to block the EGR.
