It seems like the cell phone has replaced the spare tire like the quik lube has replaced the drain pan.
I just thought it odd that KIA, Hyundai, and Mercedes seemed to have eliminated the spares from pretty much their entire line-ups. Now that I think about it, the Korean cars are supposed to be cheap, and maybe MBZ is supposed to be owned by people who pay others to fix their tires for them? Even so, I'd rather pay to have my spare installed than to pay to have it put on a flatbed and ride to the tire store in a filthy wrecker cab.
