If we're talking woodchucks at ranges up to 75 yards, a 38gr .22LR HP to the brain ends it instantly.
Over 100 yards, it's centerfire time. I like a .223 with 45gr HP, around 3600fps at the muzzle. Either takes the head off, or puts a baseball sized hole through the ribs, your choice.
