I saw a video of a test (at the NTS, maybe) where a heat-seeking missile
was supposed to fly toward the top of a mountain and hit the
gasoline-fired target suspended on cables. In one case, the heat seeker
broke lock with the gasoline-fired target and locked on a utility
transformer on the top of a "power" pole about half-way from the launch
site to the top of the mountain. People were not happy when the missile
hit and destroyed the power transformer.
