Follow-up on the installation of a "new" windshield in my '95 E300. Very happy with the installation. One of the tricky parts on the later 124 cars is a plastic channel the runs along the bottom edge of the windshield. The channel accepts the top edge of a rubber gasket, which bridges the gap between the bottom edge of the glass and the plastic water channels that drain off water so it doesn't go down into the electronics and such between the firewall and the bulkhead of the passenger compartment.
I had to find an aftermarket supplier of that channel, as MB does not sell it separately from a new windshield.
