I think they all probably do it.  I have been with Dish for nearly 20 years straight and I am quite sure new customers get it cheaper than I do.  I have thought about switching back and for the between direct and dish every couple of years but have not bothered.  If these streaming services got DVR figured out a little better like dish I might cut the cord.  I have found by the time I add up everything I would want it is not that much cheaper than what I am paying now and everything is pretty much turn key with their receivers.
