So after I paid seller messages me saying they messed on up shipping and want an additional $33 so that puts it about $108.  I guess that is still a decent deal?  Maybe?

On the other hand, if the inner bushings needs to be replaced it might be better off to just to replace the whole control arm.

Saw-z-all, torch, various pullers, lots of strong language.
Speaking of blue language, my daughter came up with "son of a mother-less banana" for a writing assignment. I thought that was clever.

How did you get the bushings out?

The big honking C clamp that weighs twenty pounds, their universal ball joint tool set. Use that to press in the two halves of the bushing, the hole at the end gives access so you can peen the sleeve outward.

What HF tool did you use to do the bushings?

If you get it, I'd like to borrow it when you're done. :)

Here's the "proper" inner bushing tool, Sir Tools M0062, on this page for
$365.
https://www.samstagsales.com/mercedes.htm

I have done several sets of inner bushings with the HF tool and a ball peen
hammer to peen open the sleeve that holds the two halves together.

Do yourself a favor and get four of the eccentric bolts for adjusting the inner control arms, they are probably rusted solid in the old joints and
you'll never get them to turn.

I am getting ready to do ball joints on a 201. I have done a 124 before using the HF tool and some sections of cast iron pipe connections for adapters. With this setup I got it done on the 124 years ago but it was
a pain in the ass. I have located the pipe pieces I used but in the
move I have no idea where the HF ball joint tool went to. I figure this would be a good time to just get the proper one. So, with that said, what is the proper tool? Car has about 180K on it, should I just pull the control arms and replace the bushings also? That requires another
special tool to press those in and out?
