Greetings and Salutations! The wheels on my Passat 2005 leak at the rim, so, I bought 4 wheels on craigslist . Upon examination these also leak. (S**t) It appears that a small amount of corrosion has crept under the paint at the rim sealing area. After cleaning the tire seating area, the surface looks very good. My question is what type or brand of paint should be used to re-coat the alloy wheel rim? Clueless dope needs to know. If you have read this far and have any useful ideas, please reply. Fred.
