I called autohausaz and they told me to collapse the original manufacturer’s box (which is required to be returned) and try to stuff both the collapsed box and alternator into a priority mail flat rate which is what I did and it all just barely fit! The alternator in the manufacturer’s box would not fit into the flat rate box as is.
