There are multi fit serpentine belt tools available. Do they work on Mercedes?

It is different, but easy once you understand.

I think either a 10mm or 13mm socket to get the connections off the back.

You'll need a 17mm socket, maybe with a good long wrench or breaker bar, to
get the alternator mounts loose.

tips on doing this job? I’m not planning on replacing the belt, just
loosening it to R and R the alternator.
