Kerosene is more volatile than #2D. DO an experiment. Cover the bottom
of a tin can with 1/2" of Diesel fuel. Throw a lit wooden match in the
fuel. Tell us what happens.

Google the video of the tanker truck of jet fuel that tipped over and
caught on fire on an Indianapolis interstate a few weeks ago. It burns,
it really does.
JET-A is basically diesel/kerosene.
