Last night I had some time to diagnose the central locking system (CLS) on the '94 E320 wagon that Floyd helped me "rescue" a couple months ago.
The LF door lock, when turned with the key to lock or unlock, would physically lock that door, but no activation of the CLS. The RF door, upon locking, would activate the CLS but just cycle to lock and then immediately back to unlock state. The tailgate would lock and then go into a loop of locking and unlocking and locking. I tested the signals that each door lock is sending to the CLS pump 'brain', and indeed each lock is sending the correct ground or power signal. I can only conclude that the CLS control circuit, which I suspect is integral to the pump, is the faulty component. Maybe a re-cap is in order? ------------- Max Charleston SC _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
