You must get the engine rpm closer to the tranny rpm when shifing. MB diesels are notorious for bouncing neophyte drivers faces off the steering wheel!

Slower clutch engagement or a bit more right foot will take care of the problem.

I would, however, check (or just replace) the tranny mount and inspect the diff mount and the center carrier -- hard shifting will cause excessive wear on those parts. Probably not a bad idea to check the engine mounts as well -- if not replaced, probably flat by now.
